In Delaware County specifically, the number of monthly visits totals nearly 250,000 and 400 seniors are waiting for food delivery services.

To help address pandemic and inflation issues, Philabundance's CEO said she's been getting food wholesale and has sought out more funding.

“Demand for food assistance remains above pre-pandemic levels, and new challenges continue to put a strain on food banks’ operations."

While food banks watch their budgets, many families could soon need help again, with extra snap benefits set to expire on April 15.
