The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank estimates $40.8 million in monthly SNAP benefits will be lost across the 27 counties it covers.

While food banks watch their budgets, many families could soon need help again, with extra snap benefits set to expire on April 15.

Even if fewer people are turning out this year, the need is still far greater than it was pre-pandemic.
